This wonderful 1 Oz Gold coin is the first issue of the new "Treasury of Tales" series. This coin commemorates a timeless masterpiece - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. This coin has a beautiful design, has a Proof quality and comes in a box, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 150 pcs worldwide. The reverse of the coin features an original illustration by Sir John Tenniel in the first publication of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. For the first time, this timeless tale has been commemorated on a UK coin. The coin depicts Alice looking at the Cheshire Cat sitting on a tree, intent to help her making the right decision. On the right side of the reverse, the inscription: "ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND" - the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "100 POUNDS" - the face value, "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "2021" - the year of issue and "D-G-REG-F-D" - the Latin acronym.
